Have chemicals you need to dispose of?
The correct way to dispose of potentially hazardous chemicals is through the Household Chemical Cleanout event.
The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, in conjunction with Councils host Household Chemical Cleanout events throughout the year.
Residents can bring their old and unwanted household chemicals and they will be disposed and/or recycled for FREE!
You can drop off household quantities of:
- Garden chemicals
- Pool chemicals
- Household chemicals
- Hobby chemicals
- Poisons
- Motor fluids and fuels
- Motor oils*
- Batteries*
- Paint*
- Fluoro lights*
- Gas bottles*
- Fire extinguishers*
- Smoke detectors*
*Items with a * can also be taken to Dunmore Depot anytime for FREE!
Quantities are 20L or 20KG, except paint is up to 100L (in 20L containers).
